Link Fiiller & Duyu Fiilleri

LINKING VERBS · ADJECTIVE NOT ADVERB

Link fiiller (bağ fiiller) ve duyu fiilleri (sense verbs) cümlede nesne almadan, özne hakkında bilgi verirler. Bu fiillerden sonra sıfat gelir, zarf değil! Bu, YDS'nin en klasik tuzaklarından biridir.

Link Fiiller Listesi

beseemappearlooksoundsmelltastefeelbecomegetgrowturnremainstaykeepprove
💡
Link Fiil KuralıLink fiiller özneyi sıfata bağlar. "He looks angry" = O sinirli görünüyor (angry, he'yi niteler). "He looks angrily at me" = O bana öfkeyle baktı (angrily, looks fiilini niteler — burada look duyu fiili değil, eylem fiilidir!).

Kısaltmalar (Participle Phrases)

REDUCED ADVERBIAL CLAUSES · C1 LEVEL

C1 seviyesinde ve YDS/YÖKDİL paragraf tamamlama sorularında, zarf cümleciklerinin kısaltılmış halleri (participle phrases) sıkça karşılaşılır. Özne aynı olduğunda cümle kısaltılabilir.

Zaman (Time) Kısaltmaları

While / When Kısaltmaları

Tam hali: While she was walking in the park, she saw an old friend.

Kısaltma: Walking in the park, she saw an old friend.

Parkta yürürken, eski bir arkadaşına rastladı.

Sebep (Reason) Kısaltmaları

Because / Since Kısaltmaları

Tam hali: Because he was tired, he went to bed early.

Kısaltma: Being tired, he went to bed early.

Yorgun olduğu için erken yattı.

Zıtlık (Contrast) Kısaltmaları

Although / Though Kısaltmaları

Tam hali: Although he was exhausted, he continued working.

Kısaltma: Exhausted, he continued working.

Yorgun olmasına rağmen çalışmaya devam etti.

Kısaltma KuralıKısaltma yapılabilmesi için ana cümle ve yan cümle öznesi aynı olmalıdır. ✘ While I was walking, the rain started. (Burada kısaltma yapılamaz çünkü özne farklı: I vs the rain)

Sınav Stratejileri

YDS · YÖKDİL · YDT STRATEGIES

Bu bölümde, YDS, YÖKDİL ve YDT'de Adjectives & Adverbs konusundan en yüksek verimi almanızı sağlayacak stratejiler ve sık düşen kalıplar yer almaktadır.

1. Error Detection (Dil Bilgisi) Tuzakları

🎯 En Sık Görülen Hatalar
  1. Link fiilden sonra zarf kullanımı: "She looks beautifully" → beautifully değil, beautiful.
  2. Comparative + than eksikliği: "He is more taller than me" → more ve -er birlikte kullanılmaz. taller yeterli.
  3. Superlative + the eksikliği: "He is best player" → the best player.
  4. enough sırası: "enough old" → old enough.
  5. hard/hardly karışıklığı: "He worked hardly" → He worked hard.
  6. very + comparative: "very better" → much better.

2. Sentence Completion (Cümle Tamamlama) İpuçları

İpucuÖrnek BaşlangıçBeklenen Yapı
The + comparative...The more you practice...the + comparative (The more...the better)
So + adj/adv + thatSo rapidly...that + clause (sonuç)
Such + a/an + adj + NSuch an interesting...that + clause / noun completion
Not only... but alsoNot only was he late...but (he was) also... (devrik cümle)
Hardly/Scarcely...whenHardly had he arrived...when + past simple (devrik yapı)

3. Cloze Test (Paragraf Tamamlama) Stratejileri

Strateji 1: Boşluktan önceki ve sonraki kelimelere dikkat edin. "a ___ old house" yapısında boşluk opinion sıfatı alır (beautiful, lovely). "a ___ house" yapısında ise size (big), age (old), colour (red) sırası uygulanır.
Strateji 2: Eğer boşluk fiilden hemen sonra geliyorsa, bu bir zarf olabilir. Ancak fiil "be, seem, look, become" gibi bir link fiil ise, boşluk sıfat olmalıdır.
Strateji 3: "by far", "much", "a lot", "even" kelimeleri comparative/superlative yapısını işaret eder. Bu kelimeleri görürseniz boşlukta karşılaştırma derecesi arayın.

4. Kelime Ezberleme Taktikleri

Grup 1: -ly almayan zarflar

fast, hard, late, early, daily, straight

Grup 2: Sıfat=zarf aynı form

daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, straight

Alıştırma — Stratejiler
