Gecisli (Transitive) vs. Gecissiz (Intransitive) Fiiller

Sadece nesne alan (gecisli) fiiller passive yapilabilir. Gecissiz fiiller (sleep, arrive, happen, exist vb.) passive edilemez!

Ingilizcede want, need, require fiillerinden sonra V-ing geldiginde, bu edilgen anlam tasir. Bu yapi B2 seviyesinde önemlidir.

Passive gerund, preposition'dan sonra veya subject olarak gelen passive anlamdaki -ing yapisisdir. Özellikle like, love, hate, enjoy, remember, avoid, without gibi fiillerden sonra kullanilir.

Phrasal verbs (edatli fiiller) passive yapildiginda edat (particle) atilmaz. Nesne ozne konumuna gecer, fiil grubu ve edat yerli yerinde kalir. Bu yapi B2-C1 seviyesinde önemlidir.

Separable vs. Inseparable Phrasal Verbs

Separable phrasal verb'lerde nesne fiil ile edat arasina girebilir. Passive yapildiginda bu ayrim önemini yitirir — passive'de her zaman edat korunur.

Inseparable: look after the children → The children were looked after.

Prepositional Verbs ile Passive

look at, listen to, laugh at, pay for gibi prepositional verbs (fiil + preposition) da passive olabilir. Bu yapilarda da preposition korunur.

They listened to the speech carefully. → The speech was listened to carefully.

Someone must pay for the damage. → The damage must be paid for.

They disposed of the waste. → The waste was disposed of safely.
