ZekPrep EPT is a CEFR-based placement test that measures four language skills in a single sitting. It draws on the approaches of international placement systems (Cambridge, Oxford, DIALANG), and the result maps onto the A1–C2 level descriptions.

The number of questions depends on your answers: the sections adapt and finish early once your level is clear enough. The times shown are the maximum for each section.

Before you start

Work somewhere quiet, with headphones — the listening section plays audio and the speaking section records you.
Each section is timed and there is no going back to a previous one; set aside about an hour and a half without interruption.
Do not use a dictionary, a translator or AI help; the result would not reflect your real level.
If the page is reloaded, you carry on from where you left off.
At the end you see your result, download your report and share it with your teacher.

What do these bands measure? Listening, Reading and Use of English are measured directly. The last two rows are not production skills: "Use of structures" comes from the sentence-transformation questions and "Pragmatic appropriacy" from the situational-response questions — they are indicators for writing and speaking production only. Your free writing and your cue card recording are attached to the report; your real Writing and Speaking levels are decided by your teacher. A wrong answer carries no penalty, and the effect of random guessing is neutralised in the scoring.
